18.5 hours per week, Permanent (Hours negotiable)
LGAT 9 £28,423 pro rata. Actual Salary: £11,852.39
Term time (190 days per year)
Closing Date: 12pm, 19 September 25
Working Hours; Wednesday - 12pm - 4pm, Thursday 8am - 4pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Health Assistant to join our academy
Responsibilities
* Provides First Aid care within the Academy
* Provides first aid in emergencies and contacts emergency services when necessary
* Maintains student’s Academy medical records through regular liaison with parents, Health Authorities and general practitioners
* Arranges routine medical checks
* Maintains medical stock and orders appropriate supplies
* Provides general medical advice on general hygiene matters
* Is fully conversant with current information on sexually transmitted infections and social drugs to make immediate referrals to the appropriate Vice Principal.
* Prepares routine correspondence
* Admin istrates dressings where needed
* Refers student’s health problems to parents and other interrelated agencies where needed
* Offers basic hygiene solutions to problematic students
* Supervises student’s self-administration of medication
* Reports to the responsible Vice Principal on matters relating to fighting bullying, students’ safety and Child Protection.
* Liaises with our designated school nurse
