Job overview
We are looking to appoint a Community and Sports Development Coach for up to 30 hours per week to work as part of the Central Team within Magna Learning Partnership. The position is varied, however there are two distinct elements to the role, working within the schools and development of Community and Commercial activities.
During term time you will work in both Primary and Secondary Schools across the Trust to a fixed timetable against a set of objectives. The role is mobile, however you will be allocated a primary work location from which subsistence will be paid as you move around the schools.
The elements of the role can be broken down as follows:
Primary Schools:
* PE Lessons - Physical Education, School Sport, and Physical Activity (PESSPA)
* Mentoring and coaching (small groups/one on one pupil support)
* Afterschool enrichment/clubs
* Forest School Provision (desirable)
* Cover supervision and provide appropriate activities as required
Secondary Schools:
* Coordinate, develop and run enrichment activities to support the growth and sustainability of the Opening School Facilities (OSF) grants
* Mentoring and coaching (small groups/one on one pupil support)
* Support activity provision using OSF equipment for specific groups of students ie those with Special Education Needs (SEN)
Outside the academic year your role will be to support the Commercial Department. You will be instrumental in developing and supporting growth in both the Community aspects and Commercial activities to increase revenue in support of a future growth development plan. Some elements of this work will include evening and weekend delivery to meet the needs of our customers.
