We are seeking caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley. This is a rewarding role where you’ll help pupils reach their potential and thrive in a supportive learning environment.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools
Start Date: immediate starts available
Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Term-time only | Long-term
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language
* Help create an inclusive, nurturing environment that promotes confidence and independence
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEN (in schools or care settings)
* Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
* Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
