Salary: £24,736 per annum (term time only + 5 weeks paid holiday)
Churcher’s College is one of the most accomplished independent, co-educational day schools in the country, with a thriving Junior School and Nursery set in beautiful grounds in Liphook, Hampshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dedicated Junior School team, initially working in Reception.
The Role
* As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both pupils and teachers to enable progress and learning. You will:
* Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning opportunities
* Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, including those with additional needs
* Assist with small group activities, phonics, circle time and focused learning tasks
* Supervise and actively engage with pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes and wraparound care
* Accompany children on trips and school events
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community, including events such as plays, sports days and open days
About You
* Warm, approachable and able to build positive relationships with children
* Flexible, proactive and able to use initiative as well as work effectively in a team
* Calm, organised and adaptable in a busy school environment
* Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
Skills & Experience
* Essential: Level 3 Childcare Diploma (full and relevant status).
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent).
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Experience in a school or nursery environment.
* Confident with ICT and willing to learn new systems.
* First Aid training desirable (training available if required).
