Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller/ Administrator to manage inventory processes, coordinate stock movement, and provide administrative support within the operations team. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting junior staff where needed.
Hours - 7am until 4.30pm
Key Responsibilities Stock Control & Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
Receive, check, and record all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Organize and oversee safe storage, labelling, and distribution of stock.
Investigate stock discrepancies, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate stock records and databases, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Process purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation.
Support procurement and logistics with supplier communication and order follow-ups.
Generate and submit regular stock, usage, and variance reports.
Assist with compliance checks, audits, and health & safety documentation.
Supervisory Duties
Oversee and guide warehouse/stockroom staff in daily operations.
Train new team members on stock procedures and company policies.
Allocate tasks and monitor performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Support management with staff scheduling and workflow coordination.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related field.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with stock control systems / ERP software (preferred).
Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to supervise and motivate a small team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
