RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is a global professional body that sets and upholds standards in land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. With over 140,000 members in more than 140 countries, we help shape the built and natural environments through trusted qualifications, rigorous standards, and a commitment to responsible and sustainable practice.
Our Member Engagement team plays a vital role in building inclusive, connected communities that support professional growth and deliver value to members across the globe.
As a Regional Member Engagement Coordinator, you'll provide essential support to our regional engagement activities - helping to organise events, manage communications, and ensure members feel connected and supported.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work closely with Regional Member Engagement Managers to coordinate logistics, maintain accurate records, and act as a friendly first point of contact for member enquiries. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in events, communications, and stakeholder engagement within a respected global organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the first point of contact for general member enquiries, ensuring a helpful and professional experience.
• Support planning and delivery of regional events and board meetings, including logistics, materials, scheduling, and on-the-day coordination.
• Maintain accurate records, mailing lists, and stakeholder data in line with GDPR.
• Assist with Regional Board onboarding and scheduling.
• Draft and distribute member communications and support outreach to schools and universities.
• Create and update digital content such as newsletters, flyers, and presentations.
• Contribute to regional social media and digital storytelling.
• Manage administrative tasks including invoicing, payments, and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of regional engagement initiatives.
You'll enjoy supporting others, working collaboratively, and delivering work accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, organised, and has strong attention to detail, particularly within an events or coordination environment.
You will:
• Have experience supporting events, projects, or programmes in a member or customer-facing environment.
• Be comfortable following instruction and working within established processes.
• Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.
• Be organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities.
• Understand data protection principles (e.g., GDPR).
• Be comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital tools such as Canva and social media platforms.
• Experience with CRM or membership databases is desirable but not essential.
• Bring attention to detail and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.
• Be committed to inclusivity and creating a welcoming experience for all members.
