Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of the pastoral and SEND team, your role will be instrumental in the students success. Your responsibilities will include:

Confidently intervening in challenging situations and using effective de:escalation techniques to ensure pupil and staff safety.
*
Supporting pupils moving between lessons and year groups, minimising anxiety and potential triggers.
*
Providing tailored support in core subject areas, differentiating tasks to help pupils engage with the Key Stage 3/4 curriculum.
*
Running small:group interventions focused on managing anxiety, improving communication, and developing social skills.
*
Maintaining accurate, detailed records of incidents and progress to inform long:term support plans.
Requirements:
To excel in this position, you must possess:

Demonstrable experience working with adolescents (Key Stage 3/4) and managing challenging behaviour (SEMH/EBD).
*
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable, or strong, relevant experience is essential.
*
An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing for a new one).
*
The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.
*
Training in Team Teach, restraint reduction techniques, or trauma:informed practice is highly advantageous.
