What we’re looking for: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-first Event Operations Manager to lead experience across the Drumsheds Music Series. This is a 360 role at the centre of our biggest shows. You’ll act as the operational lead for both internal teams and external partners translating the show vision into a live plan, holding timelines and comms across departments, and setting the pace once the show goes live. Calm under pressure, methodical in planning, and clear on comms, you’ll lead from the front and help shape the experience for everyone on site. Event Planning & Pre-Production Lead the planning cycle for creating, tracking, and maintaining critical paths, actions, and internal delivery schedules for the season, shows and key projects Schedule and chair operational planning meetings across departments, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and delivery timelines. Track deadlines for documentation, supplier inputs, production notes, and internal approvals holding the team accountable to shared milestones. Ensure information is clearly distributed across internal teams and updated regularly as show plans evolve. Work alongside the team to align internal and contractor-led planning timelines. Show Development & Promoter Liaison Act as the lead operational contact for promoters internally and externally, overseeing delivery from pre-production through to break. Translate creative, production, and commercial requirements into operational plans, timelines, and documentation. Ensure the guest experience, artist logistics, and event vision are operationally achievable, scalable, safe and world class. Lead show-specific planning meetings, tracking actions, aligning departments, and escalating risks to the Director of Operations. Internal Team & Departmental Coordination Align departments including FOH, ticketing, guest ops, security, F&B, artist liaison, marketing and bookings team around shared milestones and deliverables. Produce and manage internal planning documents: delivery schedules, event briefings, handovers, and team briefing packs. Lead team briefings, control room handovers, and ops comms across the shows. Curate the correct staffing levels across the board based on the risk assessment with an eye for safety and financial acumen. F&B Planning Working in collaboration with the F&B manager and event operations counterpart to support the planning and operational integration of bars and traders across the site. Inform the F&B teams and management structure of the show demographics, available data and ensure all parties are fully up to speed on the event timetable to deliver commercial success. Supplier Management Owns the day-to-day supplier relationships core operational areas; safety, cleaning, event control, and working closely with the security manager on traffic and security. Forward thinking contingency planning across your core responsibilities working with the wider team to be ready for all eventualities. Lead the event control room function and management, working closely with our third-party provider, you will ensure our event control room function is leading in class. Takes ownership of the implementation of all safety actions, working closely with our third-party safety team and senior operations manager to ensure robust compliance and seamless, safe delivery. Ensure all suppliers have been fully onboarded ahead of the season. Review suppliers on the key metrics to ensure that Broadwick is always receiving the best-in-class service. Licensing, SAG & Documentation Leadership Assist your counterpart in the drafting and delivery of licensing and safety documentation across your key areas of responsibility Represent internal ops in SAG meetings, council inspections, and safety briefings as needed. Ensure that operational plans align with licensing conditions and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with the Operations Managers, F&B Manager and Security Manager. Live Show Leadership Act as the key liaison to the event silver control room on show days managing show flow, escalation pathways, issue logging, and internal and external promotor comms. Own the delivery plan and schedule; coordinate response to live operational issues as they arise. Be a visible, solutions-focused lead on-site supporting department leads and keeping the show on time and on standard. Finance & Budget Awareness Monitor all operational cost lines on your dedicated budgets, Scope supplier inputs carefully, raise POs, and escalate cost risks or changes as needed to Director of Operations Lead reconciliation by tracking accurate delivery data and staffing hours for post-show reporting. Reporting, Debriefing & Continuous Improvement Leading from the front with reporting on your dedicated, projects, events and work streams to ensure the teams are kept up to speed on all key matters. Coordinate and contribute to post-show debriefs capturing feedback, incident logs, and lessons learned. Help evolve and standardise planning templates, briefing decks, and control room systems across the season. Drive continuous improvement by sharing insight, proposing refinements, and documenting best practice. You’ll need to have: Proven experience delivering high-capacity live events (10,000), ideally with operational and promoter-facing leadership. Excellent project management skills: highly organised, detail orientated and adept at managing multiple timelines and stakeholders simultaneously. Experience managing large projects via project management tools such as Monday.com Strong working knowledge of critical path planning, run sheets, team comms, and licensing documentation. Confident communicator in stakeholder and control room environments able to lead calmly under pressure. Financially aware able to track spend, scope supplier inputs, and manage operational risks. A clear communicator, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering best-in-class live experiences. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and extended on-site hours as needed.
