We are delighted to share a fantastic opportunity to join the Innovation team on a job share (3 days), reporting into the Lead Buying Manager for Innovation. You will be part of a team covering a wide spectrum of supplier types, from building our accelerator programme ranges and working directly with founders and entrepreneurs to fast-paced innovation and big branded suppliers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about innovation and products and is prepared to work at a fast pace to deliver our ambitious goals. It provides insight into new brand development within the business and training in the fundamentals of a Buying role.
* Support the delivery of innovation ranges and plans for customers.
* Assist the Buyer with supplier administration for all Cohorts.
* Build relationships with supplier partners and the innovation community, creating a presence for Tesco.
* Negotiate with supplier partners to deliver market-leading product costs, investment, and launch plans for innovation.
* Utilise category management techniques on price, promotion, events, product innovation, range, space, and merchandising to increase sales and profit.
* Deliver sales, profit, margin, and outperformance measures as set.
* Adhere to Tesco policies, storage, and handover protocols, and complete training to ensure zero GSCOP breaches.
* Record all agreements in writing, report GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt, and promote a culture of compliance within the team.
* Follow our business code of conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.
