About the Role:
ACL Hygienics as part of Tridon EMEA Ltd. is a global leader in flow control solutions for the pharmaceutical and food & beverage sectors. This role is critical in ensuring the timely supply of raw materials, managing inventory levels, and optimizing planning processes. The Purchasing Manager will lead efforts to streamline procurement activities, maintain cost efficiency, and ensure supply chain reliability across the regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supplier Management:
* Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers for raw materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
* Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value for the business while maintaining high standards of compliance and ethics.
* Monitor supplier performance, addressing any quality or delivery issues proactively.
Inventory Management & Planning:
* Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
* Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to ensure continuity of supply across the regions.
* Collaborate with production, sales, and logistics teams to align inventory planning with business needs.
Strategic Planning & Analysis:
* Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost data to identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and regional requirements.
* Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including cost savings, supplier reliability, and inventory turnover.
Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and production, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
Compliance & Risk Management:
* Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
* Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including potential disruptions or market fluctuations.
Operational Excellence:
* Continuously review and improve procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
* Lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
* Participate in quality audits and assist in preparing for external inspections
Key Requirements:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS) are a plus.
Experience:
* Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, preferably in raw materials.
* Experience managing multi-country procurement operations, including UK, Ireland, and Denmark.
Skills:
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management and planning tools (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle).
* Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Effective leadership and communication skills.
