The role:
The Learning Area of Business and Technology is seeking to appoint experienced, talented, and highly motivated bank Lecturers to join our Economics department. Applicants should have experience teaching Economics in a post-16 setting, possess a relevant degree, and hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
The successful candidate will be able to teach on our A Level Economics programme and deliver Economics modules on other courses within the learning area up to Level 5. The ability to teach the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales qualification is highly desirable.

* £17.53 - £34.51 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Commitment to continuous improvement, contributing to curriculum development, and assisting with effective planning within courses.
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, including effective use of ILT, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential academically, socially, and personally.
* Work with the Learning Area Manager to set targets and monitor performance in recruitment, attendance, retention, attainment, and successful completion.
* Contribute effectively to curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.
About you:
* Degree in Economics or a relevant field.
* Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Proven successful experience teaching A Level Economics.
* Excellent organisational skills and a team player.
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the curriculum and learners.
* Based at either the Gorseinon campus, with the ability to deliver A Level Economics and other modules across Level 3/4/5 Business programmes. Experience with the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate is highly desirable.
