Parts Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Parts Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of a busy automotive parts department. You will assist in managing stock, supporting technicians and service advisors, maintaining manufacturer standards, and ensuring excellent internal and external customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
* Support the Parts Manager in the daily running of the parts department
* Supervise parts advisors and coordinate workloads
* Ensure timely supply of parts to workshop, bodyshop, and service departments
* Maintain strong communication with technicians and service advisors
Stock Control & Administration
* Monitor stock levels, ordering, and replenishment
* Carry out regular stock takes and manage discrepancies
* Ensure correct goods-in, storage, and parts identification
* Minimise obsolescence and maximise stock turnover
Customer & Supplier Liaison
* Deal with internal and external trade customers professionally
* Handle parts enquiries, pricing, and availability
* Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve supply issues
* Support warranty and returns processes
Performance & Compliance
* Assist in achieving departmental KPIs including availability, stock value, and margins
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and audit requirements
* Maintain health & safety and housekeeping standards
Team Leadership
* Support training and development of parts team members
* Provide cover for the Parts Manager when required
* Promote a positive, efficient, customer-focused working environment
