Role Overview
Admin Officers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of courts and tribunals. At the Crown Court, responsibilities include managing criminal digital files, handling correspondence, and dealing with enquiries from criminal justice agencies, solicitors, barristers, and the public. Admin Officers also support juror management and provide general administrative duties across teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage criminal digital files in preparation for hearings
* Handle enquiries via post, email, telephone, and face‑to‑face interactions
* Support serious criminal casework and juror management
* Provide administrative support to progress cases through the court/tribunal system
* Deliver proactive customer service to court users and stakeholders
* Use various software packages to support administrative functions
Required Skills and Experience
* Friendly and approachable manner
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to deliver proactive customer support by phone and email
* Skilled in organising time, prioritising tasks, and multi‑tasking
* Adaptability to use various software packages
