An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join our team in Aberdeen. As HR Advisor you will support the achievement of business and people objectives, by providing a customer focussed service. Assisting line managers and our people through professional, commercial and pragmatic HR advice and support.
This is a great opportunity to work in a generalist HR team, where you will cover the full range of HR work and gain experience across the full lifecycle of HR. This role is full time (Monday – Friday office based).
What you’ll do
1. Coordinate fixed term contract extensions
2. Coordinate, monitor and track the appraisal process, including following up on actions
3. Learning and development coordination, including competency assessment
4. Manage probationary period process
5. Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, letters and reports
6. Guide the HR administration team and provide cover as required (e.g. holiday or other absences)
7. Authorise HR documentation prepared by the HR administration team (e.g. new contracts)
8. Facilitate the disciplinary and grievance process, taking into consideration, risk and statutory process requirements
9. Deputise for the HR Manager and assist with employee relation matters (e.g. TUPE, redundancy)
10. Prepare and review payroll runs (currently twice monthly)
11. Conduct security audit of HR system
12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
13. Provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures, and legislation
14. Ensure all Company policies/procedures are current
15. Assist with and own ad hoc projects as and when required
16. Support the business to achieve ISO9001 and then to maintain it
What to bring
17. Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (e.g. production of management information via Pivot tables)
18. Experience of Data Analysis and production of reports using HR System and Excel
19. Excellent Stakeholder management skills
20. Accuracy and attention to detail
21. Strong communication skills, written & verbal
22. Confidence to deal with all levels of employees in the organisation, up to Director/Leadership level
23. Ability to organise own workload effectively
24. Strong understanding of UK Employment Law
25. Time management and prioritisation skills
26. Good understanding of Health & Safety policy
