Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager
Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and ensure our superb facilities are always in top condition.
As Maintenance Manager, you'll take charge of all day-to-day maintenance activities across our newly refurbished 128-bedroom hotel, including guest bedrooms, public areas, Signature Spa & Leisure, and back-of-house facilities. You will lead the department, manage contractors, and take a proactive approach to both preventative and reactive maintenance.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
* Oversee all maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the hotel is safe, functional, and visually appealing
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
* Manage the department and external contractors
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
* Monitor and control maintenance budgets and inventory
* Respond quickly and efficiently to guest maintenance issues
* Liaise with our department heads to support the smooth running of the hotel
The ideal candidate:
* Demonstratable experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
* Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills
* A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
* Health & Safety knowledge, e.g. COSHH, risk assessments
* Relevant technical qualifications are desirable
