HLTA – ARB Provision, Bude (Part-Time)

Are you an experienced and compassionate HLTA looking to make a real difference in a specialist setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an Area Resource Base (ARB) in Bude, starting September 2025.
About the Role
This is a part-time position (3 days per week) supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. You will be working closely with the class teacher and wider support team to deliver targeted learning, lead small group sessions, and occasionally cover lessons when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEN in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
Lead structured small group interventions and contribute to planning with the teacher
Use a range of strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure pupil progress
What We’re Looking For
HLTA status or significant experience as a Senior Teaching Assistant
Experience working within an SEN or ARB setting is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs
Confident in delivering learning activities and providing classroom cover when required.
