We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and ambitious individual to join our Strategic Accounts Team at Nationwide Platforms.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will manage approximately construction customer accounts nationally, ideally based in the South East region. This role involves a 60/40 split between customer account management and developing new business opportunities across the UK.
Successful candidates will have experience working with high-profile, large customer accounts within the Construction sector, demonstrating longevity and success in their roles. You should be tenacious, hardworking, and ambitious, capable of working autonomously with a strong desire to succeed and exceed targets, while also being a team player.
This role offers significant scope and potential, representing a great opportunity for the right person.
The package includes a competitive salary with a 30% OTE bonus, car/car allowance, pension, BUPA medical, life assurance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Location: Ideally in the South East, with regular UK travel required. Our head office is in Lutterworth, LE17 4PN.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of Strategic Accounts to achieve long-term profitable growth and strategic opportunities.
2. Identify and develop new revenue streams from pre-agreed opportunities, meeting financial targets.
3. Create detailed account plans in collaboration with customers to align with their business objectives.
4. Maintain an opportunity pipeline, assist in tendering, and forecast future revenues.
5. Focus on customer needs, listening skills, and fulfilling commitments.
6. Build partnerships with safety-driven clients, expanding product and service utilization.
7. Develop sector and customer knowledge to guide product development, including sustainability, safety, and environmental initiatives.
8. Ensure CRM records are up-to-date, conduct regular customer visits, and foster strong relationships to secure repeat business.

* Experience managing Strategic Accounts in the Construction industry with a proven growth and retention record.
* Consultative, strategic selling experience exceeding sales targets.
* Financial and commercial acumen with the ability to develop winning proposals.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Results-driven, responsive, passionate, and persistent.
* Confident, ambitious, and proactive.
* IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
* Ability to build long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
* Strong analytical skills for assessing customer data and KPIs.
