Audio Visual Install and Service Engineer
Base pay range: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum
Must live within 2 hours of Reading

The Role
The Audio Visual Engineer provides on‑ and off‑site technical support, ensuring optimal performance of audio‑visual systems. Responsibilities include emergency callouts, scheduled maintenance, surveys, commissioning and installations.
Key Responsibilities
* Emergency Callouts: Respond promptly to emergency service requests, providing on‑site troubleshooting and repairs, aiming for 2‑hour response time.
* Planned Maintenance Visits (PMV): Conduct regular maintenance visits as per contract schedule; log details and take relevant drawings or pictures.
* Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support, especially for Yealink and Logitech systems; maintain logs of supplier contacts.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships; provide technical advice and guide clients.
* Site Surveys & Commissioning: Conduct full install and technical site surveys, perform installations, and provide final day commissioning or training.
* Vehicle & Equipment Management: Ensure vehicle upkeep, maintain demo stock, and adhere to PPE and dress code.
* Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Support office AV needs; manage own training and professional development.
Required Skills And Experience
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience as an Audio Visual Engineer; strong understanding of installation, configuration, and maintenance, especially Yealink and Logitech systems.
* Certifications & Qualifications: Relevant certifications (CTS, Crestron, Extron, AMX) desired; electrical or electronics engineering qualification (HNC/HND) advantageous.
* Communication & Organizational Skills: Excellent communication with non‑technical clients; strong organizational and written documentation skills.
* Problem‑Solving Ability: Work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and proactively solve technical issues.
* Flexibility & Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings; valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
