About The Role:
Days of Working:Monday & Tuesday 12pm to 4pm
Sussex Estates and Facilities (SEF) is recruiting for Janitors to provide exceptional, high-quality customer service to students, staff, and visitors, while supporting day-to-day facilities services—primarily cleaning. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the Academic Buildings in line with the Service Level Agreement.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Clean academic buildings to a high standard includes sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting.
* Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly operating tools like floor buffers and carpet machines.
* Replenish janitorial supplies, ensuring toilets are stocked with tissue, soap, and hand towels.
* Empty waste and recycling bins, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
* Follow instructions from the Cleaning Supervisor, working efficiently and professionally as directed.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
* Must have Right to Work in the UK.
* A DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
* Previous cleaning experience.
* Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to use cleaning equipment.
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
