Responsibilities
The GP Practice Business Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services. The postholder will lead and manage staff, oversee financial performance, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the Partners in meeting contractual obligations.
About us
The Spinney Group comprises of two practices; The Spinney Medical Centre and Eccleston Medical Centre. We are proud training practices and endeavour to support a multitude of learners. We have 2 operational practice manager (one of whom is due to retire next year) and a Strategic Business Manager. Collectively we have around 14000 patients and 35 members of staff. We achieve highly in QOF and like to explore new opportunities when we can.
We are based in St Helens which is a welcoming community, with excellent transport links to Liverpool and Manchester. The local health care stakeholders are collaborative and forwardthinking.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
* Proven experience in general practice management.
* Strong financial management skills, including cashflow analysis and profit forecasting.
* Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Strong understanding of NHS structures, GP contracts, and primary care operations.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in EMIS.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
* Experience of working within a Primary Care Network (PCN).
* Knowledge of CQC inspection requirements and compliance processes.
* Qualification in management, finance, or business administration.
Qualifications
Essential
* Degree or equivalent.
Desirable
* Degree in an industry specific subject.
* Leadership qualification and/or proven CPD in this area.
