Job Title: Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

2. Assign homework in accordance with year group policies, promoting independent study and reinforcing classroom learning in science.
3. Identify and provide support for students with Special Educational Needs in science, tailoring instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
4. Plan engaging and interactive lessons that prioritise pace, motivation, and challenge, with continuous assessment and adjustment to ensure student progress.
5. Uphold effective teaching through high expectations, fostering a solid understanding of scientific principles and maintaining discipline.
6. Differentiate instruction to accommodate students of all abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to excel in science.
7. Provide constructive feedback on student work, maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress meticulously.
8. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of school policies and procedures, positively shaping the school's educational ethos.
9. Actively participate in appraisal procedures and engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of scientific advancements.
10. Attend school meetings and maintain positive communication with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation or strong background in science.
12. Evidence of excellent classroom practice or the potential to achieve it in the field of science education.
13. Proven track record of successful student outcomes in science across Key Stages.
14. High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour in the context of science education.
15. Eligibility to work in the UK.
16. Passion for providing extensive extra-curricular opportunities related to science.
