You’ll be supporting 162 Almshouses across 14 estates in the London Borough of Richmond, helping ensure residents live in safe, well-maintained and welcoming surroundings.What’s in it for you

What you’ll be getting stuck into as Caretaker / Handyperson
* Carrying out weekly inspections across 14 estates and maintaining accurate logs
* Undertaking first-line repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrics and general maintenance
* Managing and coordinating two part-time Assistants
* Keeping communal areas, paths, lighting and external spaces safe and presentable
* Supporting contractors on site and monitoring completion of works
* Managing seasonal tasks such as gritting, leaf clearance and exterior cleaning
* Responding flexibly to emergency call-outs and providing a regular, reassuring presence across estates
What you’ll need to hit the ground running as Caretaker / Handyperson
* Strong practical building maintenance skills
* Experience in estates, caretaking, facilities or similar hands-on roles
* Proactive approach to repairs and property upkeep
* Full clean UK driving licence and your own roadworthy vehicle
* Ability to travel across Richmond, Mortlake and Twickenham
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise across multiple sites
* Confidence working independently and as part of a small team
* Enhanced DBS clearance (required)
