Groundworker (Du mper Driver) - Tunbridge Wells (Commercial Civils) Rate: £21.25 per hour Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent Start: February 2026 | Duration: 6 Months Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting a skilled Groundworker with a Forward Tipping Dumper ticket for a major commercial project. The Project This is a large-scale Civil Engineering scheme in Tunbridge Wells. We are looking for an experienced groundworker who understands heavy civils—this is not just driving a dumper all day; it involves technical groundworks including deep drainage, ducting, and working around heavy plant. The Role You will be working as part of a gang alongside a 360 Operator. Installing deep drainage and pipework (clay/concrete). Laying ducting and assisting with service installations. Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper to move spoil and materials. Hand digging and exposing services safely. Working to laser levels for footings and glandular fill. Requirements Essential: Valid CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket. Essential: Proven experience in Commercial Groundworks (Deep drainage experience is key). Desirable: Valid Fit to Work (CBH) medical certificate (highly advantageous). Essential: Own hand tools (Shovel, lump hammer, levels etc.). Reliable and able to work the full 6-month contract.
