Infinity Employment are seeking Supplier Quality Engineers to work on behalf of our industry leading client, specialising in providing engineering solutions to various sectors. The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently meet quality, technical, and delivery requirements, while driving continuous improvement across the supply base. The role acts as the quality interface between the business and its suppliers, ensuring effective supplier selection, approval, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and development.
This contract will be based in Worcestershire for 6 Months, highly likely to be extended. For the right candidates, more contracts will follow. £25-£30 p/h LTD (Outside IR35)
* Mon – Friday 40 hours based on site.
* Pay – £27.50 – £32.50 LTD (Outside IR35)
* Travel may be required - Expenses Paid
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and supplier approval activities
* Manage supplier non-conformance investigations and corrective actions using 8D / RCCA methodologies
* Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan activities where required
* Drive supplier performance improvements relating to quality, delivery, and compliance
* Carry out root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions
* Review technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
* Support incoming inspection and containment activities when necessary
* Monitor supplier KPIs and maintain supplier performance records
* Work collaboratively with internal manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams
* Assist with customer concerns and supplier escalation activities
* Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards including ISO 9001 and AS9100 where applicable
* Support continuous improvement projects throughout the supply chain
Requirements
* Previous experience within a Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer role
* Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering environments
* Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality issues
* Knowledge of quality tools including 8D, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and PPAP
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Good understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
