This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering an effective, compliant, and customer-focused housing advice, homelessness, and housing options service, ensuring we meet our statutory duties while supporting vulnerable residents across the district.

* Ensure compliance with Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and associated legislation
* Oversee homelessness prevention, relief activity, and the management of temporary accommodation and associated costs
* Develop and maintain strong partnership working across health, social care, and voluntary organisations
* Use performance data and insight to shape service delivery, manage demand, and inform improvements
* Contribute to service development, policy, and transformation activity in line with council priorities and wider change programmes
About you
You will be a confident leader with strong technical expertise in homelessness and housing services.

* Experience of leading and developing teams, creating a high-performing and supportive culture
* Strong capability in performance, financial and risk management, particularly relating to temporary accommodation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A strong commitment to supporting vulnerable residents and delivering inclusive services
