An opportunity has arisen for an independent and suitably qualified Planning Monitoring Officer to support a major infrastructure development during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
The role will support pre-construction planning activities and ongoing liaison with local planning authorities and statutory bodies, ensuring full compliance with the terms of a deemed planning permission and associated conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor compliance with all planning conditions and consented requirements throughout construction and site restoration.
* Agree and implement an appropriate programme of site visits.
* Produce and submit monthly compliance reports to the Planning Authority summarising site activities.
* Identify and report any instances of non-compliance to the Planning Authority at the earliest practical opportunity and no later than 10 working days from occurrence.
* Maintain independence and objectivity while working collaboratively with the project team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Independent environmental or planning professional with relevant qualifications.
* Proven experience acting in a monitoring or compliance role on major development or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of UK planning permissions, conditions, and regulatory processes.
* Ability to engage effectively with planners, regulators, and construction teams.
* Excellent reporting, communication, and record-keeping skills. xsngvjr
