We’re seeking a SERVICE / PREPARATION TECHNICIAN to carry out a variety of workshop tasks as a busy main dealer, based in Plymouth.
Your typical day will include:
* Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards.
* Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
* Liaising directly with customers where appropriate.
* Providing support to less experienced colleagues.
* Attending regular training to update technical skills and gain new qualifications.
* Ensuring that the immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others.
To be considered you’ll need:
* Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ or IMI accreditation (Level 2 as a minimum)
* Previous work experience in a franchise dealership or quality independent workshop.
* Skills in general routine and preventive maintenance procedures and consumables replacements (brakes, exhaust systems, suspension components etc).
* Ability and willingness to work as part of a friendly team.
* A full driving licence without excessive penalty points.
* Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
Hours of work:
* Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 ( 1 hour lunch)
* Saturdays 08:00 – 13:00 (alternate )
