Your main responsibility will be transporting SEND young people, elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from their place of education, medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. It is vital to hold a full manual UK driving licence and to have a good degree of physical fitness.

Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: Mon - Fri 20 - 40 hours per week. Full Time or Part Time available

Other duties include:
9. Assisting in the transportation SEND school children to their place of education.
10. Building rapport by effectively communicating with Service users and their relatives/friends
11. Responsible for lifting, securing and helping service users in and out of the service vehicles to insure their safety at all time.
12. Assist with the handing over of service users to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment school, centres/hospital’s or to family/friends at their homes.
13. Assisting service users with challenging behaviour and/or mental health illnesses
14. Ensuring that the Vehicles is kept safe, clean and tidy
To be considered, you will need to be:
15. Committed to patient care
16. An effective communicator and experience of communicating with others in what can often be emotional circumstances
17. To be a calm, considerate, careful driver, with no more than three penalty points on your license
18. Successful candidates will be required to pass a DVLA D4 Medical.
19. To have a natural flair for team working and collaboration
20. Be physically fit for patient handling and moving
21. Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded)
22. Be able to work flexible shifts
23. Familiar with the local and surrounding area
