What the role will involve
* Coordinate and control the Change Management processes for design change, including Problem Reporting (PR), Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO).
* Be accountable for Change and Configuration Management Processes, working closely with colleagues to coordinate activity across all departments.
* Work closely with engineering, supply chain and operations to ensure required data is configuration controlled and vaulted within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database.
* Produce Change Management/Status accounting information in a timely manner to feed into weekly forums.
* Proactively focus on continuous improvement, working with others to develop strong working relationships, improve the user experience, simplify processes and enhance efficiency.
* Support the Component Engineering team with the management of component obsolescence issues.
What you'll bring
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Configuration Engineer or similar role.
* Experience of CMII best practice and principles.
* Demonstrable experience in the use of PLM and ERP systems (e.g., Aras Innovator, Windchill and SAP).
* Document control experience.
* Strong auditing skills and the ability to initiate corrective action in a positive manner.
* Ideally some knowledge and understanding of electronic and mechanical components and how they are specified.
