We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to focus primarily on our operations out of Nigeria.
Main Responsibilities
* Working with the Shipping Manager to provide logistic support to the trading team
* Liaising with our overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and colleagues in the Netherlands
* Monitoring shipments, agreements, and all related documentation
* Checking and processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team
* Timely and accurate entering of data into our in-house system
* Stock management – reconciliation of stock confirmation with our in-house system
Skills & Experience
Candidates should have a degree in a related field and at least 3 years of proven experience in a shipping/logistics role, preferably within commodities or similar environments. Experience with commodities is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required. The candidate should be highly organized, capable of managing multiple shipments during busy periods, and familiar with warehousing, freight, and demurrage/detention claims.
