Position Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker Location: Wrington, North Somerset Hourly Rate: £14.50 Hours Per Week PT with the option of moving to full time following a successful induction Vacancy Type Permanent Job Reference: SOLOEWS Closing Date :5th November 2025 Care Support Worker Wanted Join our Team ABOUT THE ROLE He is a young man with autism and epilepsy living in his own home and enjoying life with the right support. We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to join our existing team. Together, youll help him live as independently and fully as possible, whether thats at home or out in the community. This is a rewarding and varied role where youll make a real difference every day by helping him live a fulfilling, enjoyable, and safe life. He n eeds support with day-to-day living, including personal care, preparing meals, and emotional support. He has a great sense of fun and loves spending time doing arts and crafts and listening to music, so if you share his interests (or are happy to join in!), thats a big plus. Taking him out and about for a walk or a trip in the car on a regular basis are important. W e are looking for someone who can be consistent, reliable, and confident in following established care plans and boundaries. Care and support are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which included evenings, weekends and sleeping nights. This role would suit someone who can bring enthusiasm, positivity, and creativity to his day. Person Specification Personal Qualities A positive, and caring personality with a good sense of fun. Patience, empathy, and understanding when supporting someone with complex needs. The ability to be clear, consistent, and confident in following established routines, boundaries, and care plans. A reliable and trustworthy nature, with a commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence. An interest in music and enthusiasm for bringing joy and creativity into everyday life. Skills and Experience Experience supporting individuals with autism or complex health needs (paid or unpaid). Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to signs of anxiety or changes in behaviour. Confidence in assisting with personal care. Good communication skills able to build positive relationships, listen attentively, and provide reassurance. Ability to work calmly under pressure. UK driving licence Values and Approach Committed to promoting person-centred support and improving quality of life. Respectful of confidentiality, privacy, and choice at all times. A team player who can also work independently when required.
