The Opportunity
* Owning and driving a coherent software strategy across the business.
* Leading three software competence managers specialising in C#, LabView, and Python.
* Partnering with architects to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
* Integrating software with hardware in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary development environment.
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience in team leadership and people management.
* Management of software engineering managers, multiple teams and products.
* Proven track record in software development for machine tools, desktop applications, and real‑time control systems.
* Experience integrating software with evolving hardware across cross‑functional teams.
* Strong agile/lean methodology experience in multi‑disciplinary environments.
* Deep knowledge of software development cycles and programming best practices.
You are a self‑motivated leader who inspires teams to deliver their best work, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
This is predominantly an onsite role with some work‑from‑home flexibility.
