We are the UTAS Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) UK facility in Marston Green, specialising in advanced technical support for Hydromechanical and Electronic Engine Control units used across the aerospace industry. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of aviation systems worldwide.

What You Will Do

1. Produce and manage detailed investigation plans to assess hydromechanical fuel system control units removed from service

2. Develop investigation reports linking in-service failures with MRO findings, identifying failure modes, root cause (where applicable), and corrective actions

3. Assess and analyse test rig deviations to reduce risk to in-service product

4. Produce and maintain technical documentation supporting Evaluation, Build, and Test processes

5. Generate and issue technical reports to support operations and ensure compliance

6. Provide engineering support to repair technicians

7. Deliver training and assess technician competence for new stamp approvals

8. Manage the introduction of technical and process changes into the business

9. Provide technical support to customers and OEMs

10. Provide technical support across internal business functions as required

11. Support the Engine Control Services Worldwide repair network

12. Manage component obsolescence activities

13. Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement of repair processes

14. Ensure compliance with EH&S policies and applicable regulatory requirements

What You Will Learn

15. Failure investigation methods for hydromechanical fuel system control units

16. Root cause analysis techniques linked to MRO and operational findings

17. How to interpret and resolve test rig deviations impacting product reliability

18. Best practices for producing controlled technical documentation and reports

19. Repair process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies

20. How to support and train technicians, including competency assessment processes

21. How to manage engineering change introduction in a regulated aerospace environment

22. How to engage with OEMs, customers, and global repair networks on technical issues

23. Component obsolescence management within aerospace repair operations

Qualifications We Prefer

24. HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience

25. Experience with mechanical fuel systems

26. Background in aerospace or a similar regulated engineering industry

27. Knowledge of aircraft and engine systems

28. Experience working with automated and functional test equipment

29. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions

30. Meticulous attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach

31. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle ambiguity

32. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
