Overview

and Responsibilities

Introduction

1. Working closely with the Quality Manager to improve the Business Management processes in line with the Regulatory, Customer and Business needs.
2. Supporting and hosting Customer Audits and visits as well as a Customer Focal for Quality.
3. Driving effective Continual Improvement activities in the Value Stream to deliver RFT and COPQ objectives – including PPAP, Control Plans, 8D RCCA.
4. Deliver planned Internal Audits to support annual internal audit plan and manage non-conformances to completion on time.
5. Drive improvements in the Quality Culture.
6. Quality Training.
7. Deliver the Value Stream Quality Improvement Plan.
8. Coaching, Training, engagement and visual on shop floor.
9. BMS Process, Procedure Documentation creation.
10. Pro active problem identification and solving – using tools and techniques appropriate to task.
11. Accountability for driving and facilitating effective RCCA through AS13000 deployment.
12. Manage Customer Returns, including determining liability, using / issue of RMA and driving to root cause.
13. Attend and support daily Tier 2 meetings.
14. Lead and Focal for identified Key Customer Accounts – driving performance improvement and compliance to standards.
15. Managing and reporting on Permit / Waiver status and also for Processing Permit applications for Focal Customers.
16. Conducting internal audits to AS9100 and support and lead on customer Audits as required.
17. Raising the level of Quality Awareness through the support Teams using techniques such as Toolbox Talks.
18. Key player within delivery team – focussed on RFT and OTD.
19. Co-ordination and lead on PPAP activity.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

20. Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
21. Good Understanding AS9100 and Business Management Systems.
22. Be able to influence key stakeholders and cross functional teams to achieve key business objectives and deliver process improvement.
23. Able to create and work to KPI’s in a performance driven business environment.
24. Good time and priority management.
25. Ability to facilitate and lead where appropriate effective RCCA problem solving events with a cross functional team.
26. Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
27. Able to and confident in presenting to the wider organisation.
28. Ability to think and act strategically across all the support areas
29. A bias towards action - a completer finisher
30. A high standard of Maths and English.
31. A sound experience base in problem solving – method specific
32. Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualified (AS9100)
33. Relevant training in AS9100 and ISO.
34. Experience of Customer FAIR to AS9102.
35. A formal qualification in Quality / electronic / mechanical engineering.
36. PPAP / Lean Manufacturing/ CI qualification and or relevant experience in application of lean tools and creations of improvement plans.
37. Strong presentation skills.
