Are you passionate about cleaning? Start your rewarding career in healthcare. Our friendly Estates and Facilities Team in Maidstone are seeking a part-time Cleaner. This post is for 25 hours per week, worked between Monday and Friday 13:00–18:00.
We are seeking a Cleaner who has the determination and valuable skills required to ensure our hygiene standards are met in line with New NHS Cleaning Guidelines.
You will be joining Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability and specialist services. KMPT is committed to providing excellent care and building a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
* Complete the daily shift plan in the agreed time scale, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in line with New NHS Cleaning Guidelines.
* Complete weekly departmental performance monitoring to achieve and maintain the Trust’s standards.
* Maintain a patient focused service across clinical areas.
* Undertake general cleaning and related domestic tasks to a high standard within a designated area and manage own task schedules.
* Maintain a high standard of provision of other Hotel Services related tasks.
* Work as part of the Hotel Services team in conjunction with ward managers on all aspects of ward cleaning and hygiene.
* Ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy, adhering to Health and Safety standards.
* Removal of rubbish to designated collection points.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Candidates must have previous cleaning experience and basic knowledge of National Cleaning Standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential due to the importance of handover information.
* The ability to work without direct supervision is important.
* NHS experience is not essential; applications are welcome from those whose skills and experience align with the requirements.
