We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a great and supportive team on a temporary basis, working within a group. This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and is based in Grimsby.
Key Responsibilities
* Support month-end processes, including journal preparation and reconciliations
* Prepare draft management accounts
* Maintain accurate financial records
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Compile weekly payment runs
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Manage accounts receivable
* Assist in the year-end process
* Carry out other ad hoc finance duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role (essential)
* Studying towards AAT qualification, or qualified by experience
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAGE is preferable
This role will be 5 days on site.
