The successful candidate will be provided with opportunities to support on delivering some of Jacobs most exciting and challenging global pursuits. You will be provided with on-the-job training using the latest software tools and will have exposure to various stages of schemes from initial concept through to construction. You will be expected to assist and support colleagues in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, and highway designs as part of your development to becoming a professionally qualified engineer. As a new graduate within our Highways & Civils team you will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs.

What will you get?
Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey. Through a combination of blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you will establish yourself as knowledgeable and competent across four key focus areas; human skills, consulting skills, champion our strategy and your passions. The GDP allows you to customise your learning journey to reflect your specific interests, career goals, and technical skillset – creating a graduate experience that is unique to you. The GDP is an on-the-job experience programme; you’ll learn largely through practical work with your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include supporting on delivering Jacobs’ highway and civils projects, participating in feasibility studies, scheme reports and highway designs, and contributing to the development of professional engineers while on the GDP. You will be exposed to various stages of schemes from initial concept through to construction and will support colleagues in project work as part of your development.
What you'll need
* Be working towards a Masters level qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering with Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with AI or Civil Engineering with Data.
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
