The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to join their technical design team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning concepts into practical, cost-effective solutions and working closely with multiple departments to deliver high-quality engineered products.
The successful candidate will support the development of innovative design solutions across a variety of projects, taking designs from initial concept through to engineering release and production support.

Key Responsibilities
Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for manufacturing.
Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure revision control processes are followed.
Support the design and development of products from concept through to production release.
Ensure designs are cost-effective, practical for manufacture, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
Conduct occasional site visits and surveys when required.
Skills & Experience
Experience using SolidWorks or a comparable 3D CAD software package.
Sheet metal, furniture, or joinery design experience would be highly desirable
Ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
Comfortable working within a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional travel requirements.
