About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cleaner to join our dedicated team of cleaning staff. Excellent cleaning standards are essential, and enthusiasm and a willingness to work hard as part of a team are required.
Responsibilities
* Cleaning of premises (toilets, classrooms, offices, etc.) including vacuuming, deep cleaning, sweeping, washing, polishing, dusting, emptying litter bins and operating powered equipment where necessary to maintain recognised standards.
* Provide cleaning of all accessible floors, internal windows, walls, partitions, ceilings, fixtures and fittings as directed by the Site Manager or SSO team.
* Collect rubbish and debris from the buildings and replenish materials in toilet and amenity blocks to maintain hygiene standards.
* Use cleaning materials economically, accept responsibility for cleaning equipment, and ensure safe usage and storage of pads, dusters, mops, floor cloths, etc.
All staff must know how to act if they have concerns about a child, provide a safe environment, promote children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child‑protection training, and familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the Trust/Academy.
Required Qualifications
Appointment is subject to DBS enhanced clearance plus two suitable professional references. The role includes rigorous safeguarding checks, including enhanced DBS, references and a self‑declaration confirming any non‑protected criminal disclosures that would make a candidate unsuitable to work with children.
