HSE Recruitment is working with an innovative manufacturing company seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join their team.
You will be the most senior HSE person on site, sitting on the SMT, ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and corporate requirements. You will have support from the Group HSE Manager based in Europe and the UK Head of Compliance. Your role will involve driving best practices and fostering a strong safety and environmental culture.
This is a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing operation with approximately 500 staff. While safety standards are good, there is ongoing focus on improving near miss reporting and follow-up actions. Leadership supports safety initiatives, but efforts to enhance the safety culture and accountability are ongoing.

* Serving as the main contact for external agencies.
* Providing advice, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring robust review processes.
* Tracking KPIs and preparing reports to drive improvements.
Candidate profile:
* Experienced health and safety professional managing a similar-sized site or seeking a new challenge.
* Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments is essential.
* Proactive, engaging, and willing to challenge others.
* Proven track record of continuous improvement.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus a generous holiday allowance and other benefits.
