We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a primary school in Yeading. This role requires patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
* Assist with learning activities, adapting resources to suit individual needs
* Support social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning plans
* Manage behaviour in a positive, consistent manner in line with school policies
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or other needs)
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication skills with both pupils and staff
* Ability to build a trusting relationship and provide consistent support
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
