Skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: up to £19.02 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Work in a busy shop floor environment in the Macclesfield workshop using a range of equipment and welding processes to manufacture high quality fabrications for the food, Pharmaceutical, water & textile industries.
* Fabricate bespoke items from engineering drawings to exact tolerances from laser cut profiles and/or using guillotines, band saws, drills, press brake, hydro form and rollers.
* The ability to weld thin gauge stainless steel, aluminium & carbon steel using the TIG welding process to a high standard of cosmetic finish, with pipe welding experience advantageous.
* Be flexible for assisting in other areas depending on manufacturing requirements.
* Adhere to and promote a good attitude to Health & Safety & operational procedures.
* Display a professional, acceptable attitude & image for all work associated with & undertaken on behalf of the company.
* Willinguess to work overtime when required.
Qualifications
* The candidate must be time served with a minimum of 5 years' experience and can produce a high standard of work using Stainless steel, Aluminium & Carbon Steel.
* NVQ Level 2/3
* City & Guilds Certifications
* Be able to fabricate from engineering drawings to exact tolerances and operate or work with laser cut profiles and various fabrication equipment.
* Pipe welding experience is advantageous.
