Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the finance team, supporting day‑to‑day financial operations with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and finance administration. This is a varied role offering exposure to month‑end processes, reconciliations and procurement support.Your responsibilities will include matching, coding and processing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate invoice logs, reconciling supplier statements and acting as a first point of contact for supplier queries. You will support purchase order processing, assist with debtor administration, maintain accurate records and contribute to month‑end activities including accruals and prepayments. Strong attention to detail, processpliance and effectivemunication will be critical to your success.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
1. Previous experience working in a finance environment, ideally within sales or purchase ledger
2. Experience handling high volumes of transactions
3. Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail
4. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
5. Confidentmunication skills with a customer‑focused approach
6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to managepeting priorities
7. Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
8. GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Experience using accounting systems such as Sage would be advantageous.
