Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Executive Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management within our esteemed establishment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a strong background in culinary arts, and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences. The Executive Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and service, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
* Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet established standards
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
* Manage food safety protocols in accordance with legal requirements and best practices
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations while controlling costs
* Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills and professional development
* Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
* Ensure all food prepared adheres to company standards for taste, appearance, and safety

Skills

* Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in hospitality or restaurant settings
* Extensive food production knowledge with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities
* In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulations
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff at all levels
* Creative flair for menu development combined with practical knowledge of kitchen operations
* Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
* Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism, dedication, and culinary excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
