Job Title: Care Assistant
Duties:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help at meal times
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate supervisor

- Patience and empathy towards individuals with physical or cognitive limitations
- Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and infection control protocols

We are currently recruiting for day care assistant positions. The shift pattern is 6 hour shifts and most will be double shifts of 12 hours. Our shifts start at 08:00 & 14:00hrs. We are interested in applications from candidates that are looking for full time or part time hours. Please state on application the hours that you are looking for. Full time hours are 36 hrs a week. We welcome applications from both men and women.
Preferably you will have a least a QCF/NVQ 2 in care (or working toward it) - but this is not essential, you will be provided with the opportunity to receive on the job training in order to gain this level. Your passion and attitude towards providing care for people is as important to us as the qualification. We ask that you treat people with care, compassion, dignity and respect; basically, as you would your own family, you must be willing to work as per the homes rota. The position will be predominantly days but this may change depending on the needs of the business. If you are this individual we would love to hear from you.
The position is subject to 2 x satisfactory references and a current DBS check at an enhanced level. We can pay for this upfront and recoup the cost through your first pay, if you are unable to pay for it on application. If you are not already registered with SCW, this will be a requirement of your continued appointment within a specified period of time. You will be required to undergo training in order to register but you will be supported through this training period.
