Hays Education is always looking for KS2 teachers to fill daily cover, short-term, and long-term roles. As we approach the final stretch of the summer term, we are preparing for September and are seeking individuals to start in the new academic year.
At Hays, we collaborate with multiple schools across the Wigan area. Working through Hays, you will have local work opportunities in your preferred schools within your area.
Your new role
We are currently recruiting full-time and part-time teachers to join from September on a supply basis. We seek exceptional individuals to work with pupils who have a range of additional needs.
This role, especially day-to-day supply cover, involves delivering pre-planned lessons for absent teachers or PPA cover. In short- or longer-term roles, you will be expected to plan lessons suited to pupil ability. Building quick relationships with staff and pupils is essential. The role focuses on engaging pupils and delivering lessons in a fun and stimulating way.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be capable of managing groups of children and handling challenging behaviour. This role could be ideal for an NQT/ECT seeking experience in a primary school environment.
