About the Role - As the Senior HR Advisor you will advise and support colleagues and managers through the full employee lifecycle ensuring. You will be responsible for proactive HR solutions and support the senior leaders to achieve the businesses objectives and foster a high performing team. This is an integral role to a within a small HR team would suit someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference with ideas around wellbeing, reward and recognition, employee engagement and all other projects.
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance HR processes and overall business performance.
* Support line managers in the areas of managing performance, absence, discipline and grievance procedures.
* Provide advice to managers and employees on employment policies and practices and employment legislation.
* Support, advise and counsel line managers in areas such as objective setting, performance and reward.
* Monitor, review and update local HR policies and ensuring these are current and in line with legislation.
* Work with Occupational Health to ensure that health checks and reviews take place as required. Make employee referrals, and request specialist reports as required on specific health issues and develop plans as required.
* Payroll – working with the external provider to payroll data is uploaded onto their secure site. You must have experience understanding payroll actions, reviewing and making changes where needed and support.
* Supporting the collation and analysis of People trends across the business.
* Support, influence and manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, career development and offboarding.
* Assist in the development and creation of HR initiatives and projects and help drive their implementation across the firm.
* Support, coach and upskill line managers on all HR matters relating to their teams.
* Pushing the boundaries of what good HR practise looks like by creating innovative solutions and become an employer of choice.
* Supporting the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
* As an HR generalist operating at a HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor level you will be used to working collaboratively in a ‘all hands on deck’ team, happy to work with autonomy and support the business through growth.
* Experienced working as a HR generalist that can evidence partnering with senior leaders to support team and business growth and performance.
* Experience leading the end-to-end employee lifecycle with a continuous improvement mindset, policy and process review.
* Excellent UK employment law and employee relations experience.
* Worked employee engagement initiatives – surveys, wellbeing and EDI.
* Although sector experience is not essential you do need to have worked in a SME across the commercial industry sectors.
