Driver Hire Southampton is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver with an accredited B3 Counterbalance Licence to join our client's dynamic team.
As a Forklift Truck Driver, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the Service Centre operates smoothly and efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include safely moving equipment, organising stock, and preparing items for hire-all while maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
Position Details
* Type: 12-week temp-to-perm role
* Schedule: Monday to Friday
o Start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM (8-10-hour shifts)
* Location: Southampton & Winchester area
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate forklifts to handle large equipment in the yard.
* Organise and prepare equipment for customer hire.
* Check, store, and maintain hired equipment.
* Keep the yard and workshop clean and safe.
* Interact with customers during loading and unloading processes.
What We're Looking For
* A valid and up-to-date B3 Counterbalance Forklift Licence
* Reliable transport for commuting to and from the site.
* Good physical fitness to meet job demands.
* Previous forklift experience is essential.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* A proactive approach to health and safety procedures.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
