The Role
* Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 depending on specialism
* Delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theoretical lessons
* Supporting pupils with project-based learning, NEA, and coursework development
* Developing pupils’ creativity, resilience, and technical precision
* Ensuring workshop health & safety compliance and risk assessment procedures
* Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted strategies to raise attainment
* Contributing to curriculum refinement and departmental development planning
* Supporting wider whole-school improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline
* Experience teaching secondary DT across KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom management and workshop leadership skills
* Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations within practical environments
* A commitment to raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
* A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
