Hours: 39 hours per week on rotating shifts
Week 1 – Monday – Thursday, Friday

The role
As a Controls System Maintenance Engineer, you’ll take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance across our production site, with a strong focus on PLCs, robotics and electrical control systems. From troubleshooting faults to supporting new installations, you’ll help maximise uptime, minimise disruption, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
8. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant manufacturing equipment
9. Program, test and debug PLC control systems
10. Troubleshoot and resolve issues on electrical, mechanical and robotic systems
11. Maintain and improve plant equipment, including compressors, boilers, fire systems, lighting and building infrastructure
12. Ensure maintenance areas and kept clean, safe and organised
13. Support the installation and commissioning new equipment
14. Champion health & safety best practices
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
15. Time-served apprentice or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering
16. Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (ideally within manufacturing)
17. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and robotic systems
18. Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
19. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
20. Excellent communication skills
21. Calm, organised and resilient under pressure
